Thoughts 10-8-20

Sometimes we stumble upon learning.  The word serendipitous comes to mind.  I was doing some searching yesterday and found what I wasn’t looking for!  I love it!  
It all started with Ps 4:4     Tremble, and do not sin; Meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still.  
I surely hope that now and then things happen in your night watches!  What do you do when you cannot sleep?  Join David...  MEDITATE AND BE STILL!
Ps 63:6    When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches,
Our awareness of God is vital to our spiritual health!  Our thoughts toward our God are to be Reverence, Fear and Trembling, and Awe.  We worship an AWESOME GOD!
Ps 2:11   Worship the LORD with reverence And rejoice with trembling.
How do I put REJOICE and TREMBLING together?  That’s for me to learn!  

Job 28:28  "And to man He said, ‘Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; And to depart from evil is understanding.”
Ps 33:8   Let all the earth fear the LORD; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.
Ps 119:161  Princes persecute me without cause, But my heart stands in awe of Your words.
Ps 77:6  I will remember my song in the night; I will meditate with my heart, And my spirit ponders:
Ps 46:10  "Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."
Ps 3:2-4   Many are saying of my soul, "There is no deliverance for him in God." 3  But You, O LORD, are a shield about me, My glory, and the One who lifts my head. 4  I was crying to the LORD with my voice, And He answered me from His holy mountain.
Pr 3:7   Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and turn away from evil.
Pr 16:6   By lovingkindness and truth iniquity is atoned for, And by the fear of the LORD one keeps away from evil.
Jer 5:22   ‘Do you not fear Me?’ declares the LORD. ‘Do you not tremble in My presence? For I have placed the sand as a boundary for the sea, An eternal decree, so it cannot cross over it. Though the waves toss, yet they cannot prevail; Though they roar, yet they cannot cross over it.
Hab 2:20   "But the LORD is in His holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before Him."

Heb 4:13   And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.

My Prayer:
Oh Father of heaven, help us to cease our striving and know that you are God.  May our joy be to put more of your Awesome Being into our souls.  Help us to meditate on you day and night.  May we abide in your great presence always.  Strengthen us with your might and power, comfort us with your peace.  When we come to you, may it be with your blessed assurance.
